Luke picked through the debris that was too wrecked for Wedge to use. He crouched low, bit his lip, thinking, as he picked through the metal.
"If the rest of these power cells are useless, maybe we could jury-rig the power paks from the Scout's blasters? It might have enough juice to get us to Theed."
He took a look over at the Scouts, who were all still unconcious and piled in a heap.
A soft breeze blew, carrying the sweet scent of the grasslands of Naboo, ruffling through his blond hair. There was something inherently familiar about this place, though he had never been here. Something he couldn't put his finger on, though.

"It sounds like a plan," Wedge said, "the faster we get this done...the faster we can get to the city. Didn't you dress up as a stormtrooper once?" Wedge brushed his pants off as he sat down, he had completed the altitude controls, so they wouldn't have to keep adjusting it once they got flying. He sat there for a while enjoying the planet's fresh air and the fact that there weren't lasers brusing their heads...or fracturing their skulls. Mynock was up and about poking at the speeder occassionally, all he had to do was glare at the droid and it went to do something else.

"Didn't you dress up as a stormtrooper once?"
Luke grinned at the thought of the memory. "Yeah. When Han and I got Leia out of the Death Star." He collected the various weapons of the Scouts and began to set to work taking them apart and retrieving the power paks. "You know, that's not a bad idea...dressing up as a 'trooper again." He paused, pensive. A shrug and he brought the cannibalized weapons parts to Wedge.
"Here, all five of these are in good condition. Something to be said for the way they take care of their things, I suppose."

Wedge accepted the power paks and began applying them to the burned out power cells. As he got on his back again he applied them to the belly and used the power wrench to keep it in place. It was merely a few adjustments before the speeder began to hover above the ground. "There...the power cells have been supplied with more energy. The altitude controls are all set, everything seems in working order. Now that you mention it...I think this guy is just about my size," Wedge examined a scout trooper and saw the uniform size was acceptable.
He looked over at Luke and waited for him to find one his size. If they were to get into a heavily populated city with Imperials...it was best they fit the profile.

"And this one is pretty much my size too," he knelt down and began to pull the helmet off of one trooper. "Though I have been...er, called a little short for a Stormtrooper." A smirk.
It wasn't too long before he got the rest of the armor off and the unconcious trooper was left with his undergarments. He wondered what exactly would he think when he woke up.
"I'm going to hide my stuff in my X-Wing. Be right back." Luke pointed to his bright orange jumpsuit. He could wear his normal black clothes underneath the trooper uniform, though it might be a tight fit. He didn't want to get caught like their poor friends over there, honestly...

Wedge nodded and then set to work getting the armor of the scout. He set off for his X-Wing and pulled out some spare clothes. He then dressed into a black shirt and pants, then pulled the amor on. It wasn't that long of a process, though in truth, he had never gone in disguise before. His territory was the sky and ground...but usually in the cockpit of some vehicle. He crossed his arms over his white metal chest and then bent his legs...as he rose he grimaced. He quickly stored his X-Wing gear into the compartment belly of the X-Wing then decided to pull a trick on Mynock. He put the helmet on, walked up behind him and said: "alright droid...you're coming with-."
Mynock let out a squeal, then before Wedge knew it Mynock produced a tiny eletctical gun from its compartment and sent a shock into him. Wedge felt his body go limp and he hit the forest floor. Mynock seemed satisfied and left to talk to R2.
"Ok...disguise works..." Wedge mumbled, still feeling the taste of hot electricity.

Luke had all the armor on by now except the helmet, which he held in his other arm. His lightsaber was hidden where a blaster would usually hang. He heard Wedge's voice say "Alright droid...you're coming with--" And peered over some bushes and saw the entire thing.
Luke came out trying not to laugh, seeing Wedge's prone body on the ground. He was turning red from the exertion.
"I'm sorry," he gasped, trying to stifle the laughter.
"But that was priceless. Are you okay?" He offered a hand to help his friend up.

Wedge groaned as feeling came back into his body. He looked up to see Luke laughing and felt embarrased. He took his hand and stood up weakly. "Clearly Mynock needs another tune up," he took off his helmet and as Mynock looked over, completly went beserk and bumped into his leg. Wedge patted his domed head and laughed. "It's alright Mynock...I'm not going to erase your memory..."
Wedge looked at Luke then and tried not to laugh.
"Hey Luke...have you seen the Ewoks lately? I think they need another furry member in their short brigade," he then held his stomach as he started to laugh at his friend.

The little droid's actions only served to make Luke want to laugh harder and he couldn't help but get stuck in a fit of giggles.
"Hey, Ewoks are pretty tough little guys. I'll take that as a compliment." He joked back, shaking his head. Artoo went over to comfort Mynock.
"So do we take our droids with us?" He wasn't sure he could trust Artoo to be totally discreet, but then he didn't trust to leave him behind, either. The droid had a knack for getting into trouble.
"The others should be here in minutes to pick up our friends whose clothes we've just borrowed, I suppose we could leave them with them..."

Wedge managed to stop laughing and considered Luke's question. "Yeah...we might have to leave them here. Unlike the X-Wing...the speeder bike can only fit perhaps two humans...maybe an Ewok or so. You know...we could drag them-."
Mynock sqealed in protest and Wedge backed away from the angry robot.
"Ok...scratch that," he said with a understanding smile. "So...how shall we proceed with the whole convert mission?"

Artoo was probably commenting on the terrible mistreatment of droids by now, with his nagging whistles.
"I'm afraid if we find a troop to join, we'll stick out like sore thumbs," he commented. "How about we just pretend to be on patrol or something or on some mission, so that we can just go wherever we want through the city?"
He wasn't sure how much the city was under Imperial control, but this was an excellent way to find out. If their presence was unusual in certain parts, or if it was merely something they saw every day. He wished they'd had the time to scope out the planet's info and history before they had landed but it was more or less an emergency, from what they came from.

"Always the one with the plan," Wedge said as he walked over to the speeder bike. He saw the commlink and thought about what to say. There would be questioning about where they were, which area they were patrolling, ect. Wedge placed his helmet on his head and felt the heaviness of the role before him come into picture. "So Luke...do we wait here until they call, or continue along the desingated path these scouts were on before they were ambushed?"

Luke put his own helmet on his head, following Wedge. He frowned, these things were constricting. Ah well.
"I think we should hurry, just in case someone is on to us already. Artoo can guard the X-Wings and our prisoners, right Artoo?" His voice sounded crunchy and artificial through the mask. Vaguely he had a thought about Vader and how he experienced that every moment.
A resounding beep from the mentioned.
"They'll be here for pickup soon, so..." he looked up at the sky expectantly. "Let's go where these guys were going." He pointed on the direction they were going through the woods, and gave a nod to Wedge and went for one of the speeders, saddling up.

Wedge agreed and looked over at Mynock. "You be good Mynock...and make sure you don't pick on R2," he went to his speeder bike and placed his hands on the controls. He then hit the altitude controls and the craft began to hover above the ground. "Alright Luke...let's hit the open road," he then raced forward along the indicated path. It was hot in his armor...his breathing a metallic ring...his hair matted against this head...he'd hate to do this everyday for a living.

"Kay, Wedge. Let's go." Luke's speeder started to hover as well, and it seemed like a split second and he was dashing through the forest, right on Wedge's tail. The sharp whine of the engine could probably be heard from a long way away. Honestly, at times like these, Luke even more at peace than usual. Not the fact that they were on a dangerous mission again, but the fact that he was riding a speeder. Simple things like that he considered, well, fun.
Trees zoomed past in one giant green blur, and he had to rely on split second instinct to avoid becoming a smear on some tree.
It wasn't too long before the outskirts of Theed came into view, the trees and grasslands gone, to a rather beautiful urban architecture.
"Wow, that was fast, we were pretty close," he commented. He pointed towards a small series of buildings near to the east side for them to go to.
