The Rebels were hiding out in scattered places all over the planet, most being located near the capital city of Wolport, the main makeshift base was located on the wasteland near the Ten-Mile Plateau.
Luke had been appointed (rather, he volunteered) to go scouting for the next base they were to go to. After all, the Empire would be hunting them down extra hard now, wanting to crush them when they were weak. They were lucky to get here in one piece.
Maybe it wasn't luck, either.
His X-Wing was being readied, though Artoo was nowhere to be found, probably with Threepio, somewhere in the makeshift base.
The young, newly-minted Jedi decided to go to the capital city to see if he couldn't pick up some rumors or tips on scouting for a good planet to find. It didn't hurt to save him a good long while on the trip while still planetside.
After frequenting some shady restaurants on the bad side of town, Luke took a break and sat down on a bench in a busy thoroughfare, musing. He had been thinking rather deeply a lot, lately, considering what had just happened to him. He looked around at the busy passersby, some not exactly the most ideal citizens, but that was good for the Alliance of course. Blend in, so to speak. Luke looked down at his own dark vestments and shrugged. Meh, blended in well enough. He had forgone the cliche Jedi robe just in case he was to be spotted. His lightsaber, however, could be viewed if one looked closely at his belt.

Of course. More crowds.
Bria had hoped she had seen the last of them for a while after getting off the transport ship, but it seemed another lost cause. Blending into the crowd, her gaze roamed about the city. She had been here before, and recognized almost every face. It was fair to remember your friends, but more your enemies.
Pushing her way through the crowd, the young teenager walked along the edge of the rampaging people. Her grey eyes watched every face, noting every face she saw. One suddenly appeared in front of her. She stopped, her mind beginning to race. Not one person around her seemed quite as sure of herself as the person she saw.
Ducking into a shady corner, s he watched him as he sat down on a bench out of the flow of the crowd. Light flashing off metal caught her eyes… and she saw that he was armed with a lightsaber. He her eyes narrowed. If rumors were true, a Jedi had returned. And it seemed that for the second time in years, they were true. For a strange reason, her hand instinctively went to her gun, hidden at her side.

Luke was staring aimlessly, it seemed, into the throngs of people and creatures walking by, but perhaps his vacant gaze was hiding what he was really thinking.
Suddenly, he felt a disturbance in the force. More of a vague warning of something, someone nearby. He looked in the direction it came from, his eyes narrowing as he noticed someone within a shady corner.
He wouldn't be surprised if someone simply tried to jump him because he looked like a tourist, and he wasn't in the mood for something like that. As if anyone was. And Jedi shouldn't be moody.
He got up from the bench casually, trying not to look in the direction of the corner, and began walking away, wondering if the person was following him. Thoughts of bounty hunters from the Empire raced through his mind. They weren't that stupid to send a bounty hunter after a Jedi.
Luke strolled gingerly into an alley.

Bria watched as the person he was watching rose to his feet. Her hand slipped her gun noiselessly from the holster as she watched him wander away, and she slipped after him, her curiosity getting the better of her. Watching him wander down an alleyway, she cursed under her breath. Either he was incredibly stupid to try go into the shady parts of town, or trying to make her follow him.
Both had happened before.
Against her will, her feet forced her down the shady alley, keeping to the sides and behind boxes- pathetic hiding spots, but they were only cover Bria had. She stopped behind an old garbage chute, one that stuck out onto the path. Her eyes watched him carefully, ready to draw at any sudden moves. Another pathetic thing, but once more, the only ting she could do.

He refrained from looking backwards as he went down the alley, instead relying on the Force to tell him if there was someone there.
Yep, just as he suspected. There wasn't good cover in the alley, he noticed, and he should have been assaulted already if this was a bounty hunter.
He paused, the sandy-haired young man shrugged and turned around, a hand poised to grab his lightsaber.
"I know you're there. You might as well show yourself."

Bria watched as the person stopped, and seemed to shrug. The word ‘why’, of all things was flashing through her mind as he turned around and told her to reveal herself. Sighing as she saw his hand hover above his lightsaber, she moved out of the cover of the garbage chute into the dim light of the alley.
“You knew I was there.” It wasn’t question, really- her curiosity had gotten the better of her once more. Her gun was hidden at her side, ready to draw. She knew that it was pointless if he was really a Jedi, but anything was better than giving up without a fight.

Luke watched, a little surprised to see the youth in the girl. He honestly was expecting someone large and hulking, gristly and covered with tattoos.
"You hid well, but...I could tell."
He knew that people could tell that he was a Jedi if they could see his lightsaber, and it wasn't particularly hidden at the moment. A bit of a foolish move on his part...or cocky? He wasn't sure he wanted to know.
"What do you want?" She didn't particularly seem like someone who would assault him but one could never tell in places like these. Life was hard and kids grew up fast. After all, he ought to know. He was still quite young himself.

"You hid well, but...I could tell." Bria raised an eyebrow, listening as he spoke. He was hiding something, but these days… who wasn’t? Hearing him continue, she thought carefully before replying.
“Well… people usually don’t wander down dark alleyways, do they. Especially the locals.” The young teenager looked at him calmly. “And if you’re a local, I’m a wookie.” Mentally, the girl kicked herself. Besides a weak argument, nearly anyone could tell that she wasn’t a local herself, but just saying her curiosity got the better of her… yeah right.

Luke managed a small smirk at her remark. He studied the way she acted, wondering if she was in fact, one of the said locals, if she knew this little fact about the place.
"Sure, I'm not a local," he shrugged casually. "I'm just passing through."
He was trying to see if he could sense any aggression on her part, to see if he was in any danger. Sure, she was a teenager, but that didn't have any indication of what she could do. A person could let their guard drop when they underestimated someone. And that's when trouble happened.
"Maybe I got lost. Or maybe I'm just really curious."

Bria nodded once at his reply, though she doubted that was the actual story. Her hand never once left her gun; it never paid to relax when in a place such as this; a lesson she had learned the hard way. His next reply made a ghost of a smile flicker across her face.
"Lost?" she inquired. "Well... that really doesn't explain..." she nodded to the young man's lightsaber. Her eyes wandered slightly over the surroundings- any escape route for a possible attack if things went haywire- before locking back onto the person who stood in front of her.

His own eyes traveled to where she insinuated. He lightly touched his lightsaber, with a smirk.
"Ah. That's what I thought this was about. Unusual weapon in these parts." He moved his hand away from his saber, in an expression of peace. She looked like she was ready to shoot, in all honesty.
"I'm a Jedi, if that's what you were wondering." Dangerous information, a little reckless to reveal it. But Luke was honestly a bit reckless, though he tried to be better about that sort of thing. Surrendering to Darth Vader on Endor was pretty reckless, all things considered.

The teenager’s eyes flashed as he spoke, suddenly furious. Anyone in the so-called underworld knew that the one Jedi had sided with the Allegiance… it was time to throw all caution to the wind. She drew her gun out of the shadows and held it up, the trigger slightly pressed down.
“A Jedi, huh?” she said calmly- or so it appeared. Inside, she was shaking. All the memories of the past few years shot through her mind, fueling her anger. “I see now…”

His blue eyes traveled to the gun that was now pointed on him, and the finger that was gently pressed down on the trigger. He was careful not to make any sudden moves. If he got out his lightsaber he could deflect the blast, but he didn't think he was fast enough to accomplish that at this close range. He wasn't exactly afraid, he had to control his fear, and instead replace it with calm.
Luke held both of his hands up, he could sense the anger coming off of her through the Force like a fire.
"Okay, so something's bothering you. Why don't we talk about it first?" He said in a low, calm voice.

Her hand remaining steady, Bria stared at the other person.
"Talk." She whispered. "Talk? Are you serious? Talk after the Alli-" Bria bit her tounge slightly, swallowing her words. She knew her apparent shield of calm had disintegrated, and that her anger was showing clearly on her face. But the memories didn't stop... and neither did her anger. She glared at the young man, fury bubbling to a dangerous point inside her.
She knew it probably wasn't directly his fault, but he was part of the Allegiance... and that was enough to make her blow.

The fury that was emanating off of her was visibly obvious by now. So he knew one more thing about this strange attacker by now. She really, really didn't like the Alliance. She didn't look like an Imperial Spy...but it wasn't like they particuarly had to look like something. She could merely be an informant, really.
"I don't know what's going on. You could at least explain to me why you're about to blast my head off," Luke said calmly. If the Empire knew they were here, the Rebels were dead. He couldn't let her leave until he knew who she worked for, if anyone at all. His blue eyes never left hers, ready to move in an instant if she so much as twitched.
