He was a little surprise to see her measure of shock, and didn't quite understand where she was coming from until she explained where she was from.
"Oh!" His smile grew wider. Luke was always really interested other people who were from the same place he was from. He wasn't particularly nostalgic for the planet itself, it was more of a prison to him as a youth, but he was nostalgic for the fun things he did as a kid.
"I grew up on my Uncle's moisture farm not too far from Mos Eisley. Then..."
Was he going to get into the whole story here? Now that would take some time. It wasn't a matter of trust, he could tell her everything and he'd be fine with it (except the whole Vader is my father bit).
"Then I joined the Alliance. I was kind of sucked into it, really. These two droids that we bought had this distress message and before I knew it I was in this plot with the Empire and the Death Star..." He trailed off.

Bria cocked her head slightly. "Mos Eisley? Really." It was very strange to hear of her old home so far away from it, especially the exact city. Rather ironic as well, considering the situation.
Her face hardened slightly at the mention of the words 'Death Star'. She had thought that the name was another rumor, a figment of someone's imagination, but it appeared it was real... very real.

"Yeah, I was back home not too long ago," he continued, thinking of what had happened. Taking on gangsters? Trying to put it in the best terms possible.
"Had to help out a friend."
"So as you can see, even the most backwater planets are still affected by galactic events," he said mostly commenting to himself. It was always something of wonder, how the whole plot managed to end up in the dusty old desert world.
"So maybe the Alliance isn't all bad," he teased slightly. "I mean, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be a Jedi."

"Possibly," Bria replied, smiling again in spite of herself. "I haven't been there in six years or so..." She froze, mentally kicking herself once more. That was a ridiculous thing to reveal... it practically shouted that she wasn't on the bright side of the law, and her age- both things that really shouldn't be revealed to a perfect stranger.
"Bria, you idiot." she whispered under her breath. She backed up the few inches she had until she was against the wall completely, cursing slightly under her breath.
"What I meant was... well..."

She seemed to be upset that she had revealed so much information all of a sudden. A little information, but one could deduce a lot from it. He suspected as much, but it wasn't like the Alliance was on the right side of the law, technically.
Luke shrugged, pretending to ignore what it meant, to help her out.
"I don't really miss it all that much. I don't know if I'll ever go back there. Nothing to go back to, anyway."

Bria nodded, relieved that he had ignored her previous information. "As is for me." She replied, relaxing only a bit. She was ready to 'spring', as the saying is, at a moments notice- hopefully, that wouldn't be necassary.
The young teenager looked back into the shadows, feeling a bit awkward. "Erm..."

"I don't know if it's kinda sad to feel that way about your home planet but..." he thought about how trapped he felt there, and how much he wanted adventure. If one grew up there, they'd probably have the same opinion about it as he did.
He realized it was kind of awkward just talking away in this alley. Luke smiled.
"Look, maybe you could show me around, a little, if you know the place? I'm just trying to get my bearings. At least I'll know where not to go, eh?" He chuckled good naturedly.

Bria smiled wryly at his comment, and looked around. "Well, a not to go would be dark alleyways, but I think you learned that yourself." She said quietly, looking serious.
"As to where to go... well... it depends on the day." She nodded out of the alley. "Like today, it would be an example of poor judgment to go out into the streets, but you want to avoid the side vendors as well. Tomorrow, it could be opposite."
Bria took a deep breath. She had never said quite so much in one breath before. Looking at the ground, she continued. "The most fair-ground, I suppose you could say stable, of the places would be the two space ports on either side of the city."

He laughed lightly at her first response, giving a sidelong glance to the dark alleyway they were currently in.
Luke followed where she mentioned, seeing the crowd surge in and out, not one person noticing the two in the alley. They obviously knew where not to go in this kind of place, in this neighborhood. He had suspected as much, the space ports at least had authority and could force people to do what they wanted, in a sense. Not that this entire city was lawless or anything, it just didn't have as much...lawfulness...as others.
"Thanks. Well, as you can tell, a kid growing up on Tatooine doesn't necessarily have city smarts." He smirked. "I'm actually going on a little trip really soon." A scouting mission for the Alliance's new base. They couldn't stay on this planet very long for obvious reasons.
"Trying to find a nice place to stay."

Bria grinned as he spoke. "No, of course not." she shook her head, biting down a laugh. It was becoming hard to believe that she had been pointing her gun at him not five minutes ago. At his next comment, she raised an eyebrow.
"Well... there, I can't help you." She didn't quite believe that he had no idea where to go. She didn't know why, she just... didn't. "I'd suggest looking for the non-obvious places, however. Fewer... shady characters."

He was really trying to get a feel for the system, maybe by talking to people (even the shady characters). Unfortunately as a Jedi he was more than slightly obvious. And by asking around he gave those people clues on where the Alliance might go...and the Imperials weren't stingy with informants.
He didn't think this girl worked for the Imps at all, despite her lack of love for the Alliance.
"Yeah, well. I'm still tryin' to decide." He said casually.
"You know, I don't think we've introduced ourselves. I'm Luke." He held out his hand cheerfully.

"Trying oftentimes leads to brawls, but not that I have much experience in that." Bria said before she could stop herself. Smiling ruefully, she nodded at what he said next.
"We haven't- Bria." She grasped Luke's hand for a moment before letting go. It now seemed impossible that she ever had felt hostility towards him- another rare happening.
"Hold on... Luke... I've heard that name before..." She said slowly, thinking back on her like in Mos Eisley. The name had something to do with a moisture farm that had been destroyed by an Imperial troop... and her had said something about a moisture farm... but it was more than likely it was merely her imagination running away again.
"Nevermind." Bria sighed, still trying to work out the thoughts spinning in her head.

He wondered if she was just joking with what she said about brawls, but shrugged it off as he shook hands. It was funny, wasn't it, to think that she was about to blow his head off earlier. Not every fight had to end in violence.
"My last name is Skywalker," he said quietly. It was a little notorious, maybe famous, and dangerous to give out. Which either showed he trusted her, or he was being reckless again. Well, she already knew that he was a Jedi and was with the Alliance, what more could one piece of information do? He knew she could sell it and make a lot of money. He hoped she wouldn't, but it was a possibility.

Bria's eyes widened in shock. It had been him... the one who had stayed with the moisture farmers, the one who had left Tatooine so abruptly with the person her father would only call 'that crazy old man', and the one that had killed Jabba the Hutt.
Rumors can sometimes be true.
But one thing was on Bria's mind... she couldn't get it out of her head. "Why are you telling me all this?" she said suspiciously, not in the least bit not confused. "I could be a spy for the Empire- which I'm not, by the way- and yet you're telling me all this?"

Luke knew with her expression that she knew who he was or at least had heard of him.
He gave a small, feeble smile. "Well, I think being honest is the best way to get through to someone, don't you?" In other words, trying to set an example so she'd be honest with him.
"I'm not being arrogant, like I don't care if you rat me out, because I do care and I'll do anything to protect my friends." Another shrug. "And you've already recognized the fact that I'm a Jedi. There's only one Jedi that the Empire knows of. My cover, if I even had one, was blown the moment you met me."
