Canon characters are expected to behave and act like the characters from the movies right at the end of Return of the Jedi.
Where you take them from there is up to you, but please remember their traits, their quirks and their personality.
I understand that development is a natural and most of the time 'slow' process.
And I've personally been guilty of going out of character in stories before too. Sometimes when trying out a new character I've not been able to figure out just exactly what they would do in certain situations.
But, like stated before, it's up to you in the end.
Just remember the other characters who are used to dealing with you will be used to dealing with 'you' from the movie.
Please be relatively active as a canon character. At LEAST 2 posts a week.
You may reserve a canon character for a period of ONE WEEK only. You have ONE WEEK to write your bio (though I'd prefer for it to be written immediately, go figure) and if it is not completed in that time the character is forfeit and up for grabs.
If you are gone for more than a month WITHOUT notice, your canon character is also up for grabs again. If you go missing for a long time (a week +) it is advisable for you to leave instructions as to per the NPCing of your character so that others can use them if they need them.
Wikipedia is the most awesome resource for an RPer. Use it like you use the Force.
Neutral Canon Available:
Drea Renthal (Pirate) Bossk 4-lom

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Han more of a rebel general then an independant smuggler at this point?

That's true, I had always considered him neutral but by this point he's thrown in his lot totally with the Rebels.

Yep, he turned his back on Jabba in Episode IV, so he pretty much threw away his lot with the Villains. He still has the rank General from his campaign on Endor, even Lando himself has the rank General. Though, I wonder if that title fits well with Han at all.

From his moon mission, he showed himself to be a pretty capable leader, especially when it comes to small elite forces. He deserves at least the rank of commander if not the General position that I personally believe he's earned.

From what we've all seen of Solo, he likes to do things his way. When it comes to the Falcon, he barely lets anyone fly it unless it's within his close knit circle of friends. So the Falcon belongs to him, not the Alliance. In all honesty he probably is best suited as a Commander. General seems to heavy and restricted title to him.

A good point, I must say, but even Darth Vader has things that belong to him rather then the Empire. Byss, for example, is technically his planet, not the Empire's; it's his personality that makes it so that it may as well be. Basically, joining the rebellion doesn't mean that Solo has to give his ship to the Alliance. Otherwise, I agree, he probably wouldn't be suited to be a general, as he probably wouldn't be suited to life as a rebel at all.
Point 2: Being a General isn't a restricting title, it's a liberating one. It means that you get to command rather then follow, and that you're allowed to do things however the heck you want to, so long as you work toward the general objective of the Alliance. I think that he would be more then adiquately suited for the title, if not perfect for it.

Maybe you forgot these people:
Boba Fett Aurra Sing Greedo (He didn't really die. He collapsed from the energy beam and was thought dead, but a scientist put him in a bacta tank and now Greedo is alive, has a mechanical heart, but is still alive. Dengar Guri
Just suggestions.

Boba's dark. We've been over this before and decided that he doesn't belong on a neutral list. o.0
