Name: Anakin Skywalker
Alias: Darth Vader
Age: 46
Race: Human
Personality: Formerly, Anakin Skywalker was a shaken man, unwilling to believe the person he was transforming into and unsure of himself on the most fundimental level. However, during his time as Darth Vader, he has become quite a bit harder and more vile then his former self. Most importantly, he has accepted the murderous villain that he is. He does not deal well with either fools or high-ranking Imperial officers, having been known to kill many of both for no other reason save that a few errors of judgement took place. In combat, Vader has a very front-line personality, eager to jump into the fray and rarely asking his troops to do anything he would not be willing to do himself. Perhaps the most notable part of Darth Vader's personality is the rough blow to his faith at the hands of his son, once again sewing the seeds of self-doubt in the Sith Lord's mind.
History: Born in the year BBY 42, Anakin Skywalker was raised by his mother, Shimi Skywalker. He never had a father figure in his life. At age three, he was obtained by Gordulla the Hutt as a slave along with his mother. However, they were lost to a junk shop owner betting on the Podraces. By the age of nine, the boy had already shown unprecidented natural tallent in many areas from piloting to engineering and invention, having a capable podracer and impressive protocol droid, both of which were built from scratch, well under way.
It was around the age of nine that the young slave's life really started to turn around abruptly and perminently. Found on his home planet of Tatooine by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jin and his padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, who were stranded on the desert planet. Anakin helped them to escape via his excellent podracing skills, and in return was freed. Around this time, it was discovered that Anakin had the highest Midi Chlorian count in history - somewhere around 27,000(Although it was only known that the count was higher then 20,000 at the time). He went with the pair of Jedi after obtaining his freedom, playing a crucial role in the liberation of Naboo from the Trade Federation starfleet when he accidentally destroyed their Droid Control Ship.
After the incidents on Naboo, Obi-Wan took Anakin as his padawan, training him in the ways of the Jedi. The ammount of raw power that Anakin posessed was immediately made obvious to his superiors, but his control and skill in tapping into that power took more time to develope. Becoming frustrated and even angry with his masters for 'holding him back,' Anakin gave into his emotions when he returned to Tatooine, only to discover that his mother was being held captive by sandpeople. When Shimi died in his arms, Anakin forgot himself and slaughtered the sandpeople who were responsible. Later, he would redeem himself by going to the planet Geonosis, where he escaped captivity and participated in the opening battle of the Clone Wars.
As the Clone Wars progressed, Anakin was eventually made a General in the Republic Fleet, playing key roles in many victories against the seperatist forces. However, the most notable of these victories wouldn't come for quite some time, when Anakin and his master rescued Chancellor Palpetine to escape his captivity. Not knowing that the Chancellor was actually the Emperor in disguise, Anakin was seduced by his talk of the Dark Side, most specifically the possibility to save his wife, Padme, through unnatural Dark Side abilities. Near the end of the Clone Wars, the Chancellor revealed himself to be the Sith Lord that the Jedi had been so adimantly hunting. Despite his initial resistance against the new Galactic Emperor, Anakin eventually submitted to him and became his apprentice, taking on the alias Darth Vader as a symbol of his servitude.
As Darth Vader, he played crucial roles in carrying out Order 66 and eradicating the Jedi Order in the Jedi Purge, which naught but two Jedi managed to escape, shortly thereafter. He continued to serve the Emperor well, earning his title as Military Executor while simultaniously becoming one of the greatest mass murderers in galactic history. Strengthening himself in both self-confidence and the Dark Side, Vader quickly became one of the most famous and well-feared beings in the galaxy.
Lord Vader also played a key role in the early stages of the Empire's campaign to eradicate the Rebel Alliance. He won many victories against them, including the battles of Yavin and Hoth, although none of his many victories seemed to lead to a lasting triumph. In the last of these battles, Darth Vader faught against Luke Skywalker on the second Death Star, where his faith in the Dark Side was shaken up once more by his good-hearted son. Recovering from the intense battle aboard the Death Star, Vader is at what may well become the most important turning point in his life to date.
Weapons: Darth Vader's lightsaber is single-bladed and a light crimson in color. It has a strong, blackened metallic alloy decorating the main body of it, giving it a tougher look that better suits his new, deadly appearance. It also has a dual-phase function and is waterproof.
Sample RP, in character:
His cape was flowing gently behind him, keeping up a rhythm with his step as it swayed from side to side in his wake. An eerie sound of heay breathing preceeded him as he walked onto the bridge, the telltale sound the only noise his otherwise silent form made. It alerted all those on the bridge to his presence before he had ever stepped onto it, and the Sith Lord could feel the tension on their minds as they heard it before he ever saw them.
The lighting on the deck sent a gleam across his helmet, adding an even greater affect to his already frightening appearance. Unlike many other commanders, he didn't have to say anything as he entered the bridge. His simple presence was enough to let everybody nearby know that he was to be respected and, above all else, obeyed. He didn't need to look about the place as he walked through to the viewing window; his finely-tuned sensed picked up every detail of every flicker of energy that was in the place.
He wasn't happy about the recent events. In the recent battle of Endor, his own flagship, the Executor, had been completely destroyed. His old flagship, the Devestator, had also fallen in the battle. He had not anticipated such losses at the hands of the Rebels, but standing on the bridge of his temporary home, the Victory-class Firewind, he began to think that the slow passing of time wouldn't be such a bad thing after all. He said nothing, but continued to look out into space, past the impressive second Death Star and out to where he imagined his son must be even now. What have you done to me? Vader thought, his mind and emotion both dwelling on him as he listened to the sound of his continuous breath.
