Name: Daelin Draggo
Age: 26
Race: Human
Personality: Very stoic, it takes a long time for her to open up and trust anyone, and it's hard to make her laugh. The mission comes first for her. She is efficient and quick, skilled in combat and is a fast draw. She doesn't waste time in anything and every move she makes seems to be calculated to the ninth degree. Her job is her life. Being from Coruscant, she has a British-like accent.
History:
Daelin was born into a fairly if not rather fairly well-off family on Coruscant. They were high enough in society to gain attention when they wanted it and threw lavish parties that got attended by a fair amount of people, including whatever Imperial Moff that happened to be passing by. In this fact, her family were very well-known Imperial sympathizers. Was this simply done to protect the family or were they truly such, she never did quite find out. All she knew was she hated those parties. Unfortunately she did grow up in this atmosphere and was bred to be in fact, a pilot and an officer in the Imperial Navy. She was training and studying even when she was a young teenager, very driven and studious. Not that she couldn't have a laugh now and then--though most of the time she really couldn't. All that seemed to be wanting of her was to get commissioned in the Navy, though that was something to be said as for most of her friends in the prestigious schools she attended were more interested in marrying an Imperial officer rather than becoming one.
She went through the academy with some hardship, being a girl and all in an environment of leering, ambitious and mostly arrogant young men, but she didn't take any crap from anyone. Being such, she scared off most of the interested parties on a romantic scale, but she didn't care, she was more interested in getting what she wanted, which was her commission. After all, she was highly ambitious and slightly arrogant herself.
She worked her rank up to Lieutenant over the years, though she'd like to say it was with praise and understanding, mostly it was with fighting and putting up with crap. Unfortunately here she had to put up with it, and it was starting to wear thin on her nerves. She only had one relationship and that was with a Coruscani spacer who she suspected of being a Rebel, which was why she broke it off. Being a woman in the Imperial Navy was a beacon for being picked on or ridiculed, but that wasn't why she was getting tired of it. It was what the Imperials were doing, that she had a problem with. All her life she had grown up with the assumption that the Empire was inherently good, after all, wasn't that what her parents showed her with their rampant brown-nosing? But here, in the thick of it, she was beginning to see the ugly side. The destruction of Alderaan was the last straw. She thought it was a joke when she first heard the news, she was on assignment on a Star Destroyer in the vicinity of Coruscant. Looking back at her own home and imagining what would happen if the Death Star came here...that and what had happened to the peaceful planet and all those millions of people--she couldn't take it anymore. So she simply requested shore leave to her home planet and never returned.
It wasn't hard to find the Rebels, actually, once you started asking around. They weren't overly suspicious either, a lot of Imperials had signed up once the planet had been destroyed and she saw many faces she recognized. A capable pilot, she knew her skills would be needed. She was doing it mostly to protect her planet, though the ideals the Rebels stood for were something that more matched her own, fit better than anything the Empire had. Here, she was an equal. And here, she felt like she was at home.
