The small, green blue planet hinted of lush vegetation and water as Luke's X-wing soared forward, coming from the deep black of space and entering the mild atmosphere of Naboo.
"I'm seeing a very tiny Imperial garrison here," he relayed to Wedge. "I'm going to land outside the capital city in that forest-wetlands area." He had to check out just exactly how influenced this planet was by the Imperials, but other than the capital city, he didn't see any others. If the Rebels were quiet, they wouldn't be noticed. Or even better, would be able to take out the Imps that were here.
Of course they would have to leave some puppet Imperials in place as not to draw any attention, and that actually might be even better cover than what they had on Ord Mantell. No reason for anyone to be checking up on them.
He hoped that no one would notice the distinctive X-wing, however.
"That looks like a good place," he said to Artoo, who agreed, as he saw a little clearing. The X-wing had a gentle landing, all things considered. Memories of landing in the swamp in Dagobah made him grin.
"Alright, Wedge, I'm down," he said through his communicator as he popped the top of his 'wing and the sweet smell of the forest came through. It wasn't exactly humid, but there was evidence of a lot of moisture in the air. It wasn't too far to the capital city by walking, and Luke wanted to take stock of how much the Imperials controlled it and the best place for the Alliance to hide on the planet.
Gathering information now, was key.

Wedge Antilles had held back the urge to go ahead with Luke as he did the scouting. He flew around the planet once and made sure no Eyeballs got too near. He managed to take down two with two quad lasers. He then heard Luke's message and knew it was time to land. He homed in on the homing beacon Luke had placed on his X-Wing and then began preparations for the landing cycle. The belly of the X-Wing took the heat, literally as he began descent. "Man, and I thought I'd seen it all," he said in awe.
The planet was a giant grassland, he had only explored outside the rebel base on Yavin once, besides that creepy temple there...this seemed to expand quite some distance. Even on Endor...which had more trees, but was more cramped. Wedge saw Luke's X-Wing had just landed and he set his X-Wing beside it.
"Alright Luke...care to explain why we chose this planet of all them to land on?" He popped the canopy and pulled himself out and sat on the ledge. Mynock was squealing and Wedge chose to ignore him.

Meanwhile, 5 or so miles away, a small group of scout troopers raced about. "Ok, today we'll practice the basics."
"Again?"
"Yeah, thats all we ever do"
"Shut up and follow me."
The speeder bikes swooped around trees and over rocks. What a good day to waste time.
(Their unarmed besides their speeder bike lasers. Probably new recruits)

He had watched his friend land a few minutes after himself.
"Alright Luke...care to explain why we chose this planet of all them to land on?"
He grinned. "It was close?" A shrug. "I don't know...I just had a feeling about this planet. Maybe we'll have a better chance here." Inhabited planet or not, the Empire seemed to find them anyway.
"I was thinking we could check out this city, Theed? See how big the Imperial garrison was, maybe we can take them out easy. Leave a few guys in place so that they won't come around asking questions." He adjusted his orange flight jacket.
Then there was the familiar, distinctive sound of speeders. "Hey, you hear that?" Luke peeked behind some large, ancient tree. "Look, scout troopers on speeders! Hang on Artoo--" The latter was squealing up a storm.

Wedge shook his head, it was just like Luke to have a hunch about a planet, no, it wasn't a hunch...not since he got Jedi powers. Some presence on this planet had alerted him, fact was...was it friend or foe? He brought his blaster pistol out of its holster and quickly clambered down the ladder as the sound of speeder bikes were heard in the distance. He quickly joined Luke by the tree. "Looks like the scouts got too bored," he said checking the cartridge in his weapon.
They could easily ambush the scouts, seeing as they were flying on those unstable vehicles, perhaps Luke could make a bush move or something. Mynock began to squeal in protest at being left behind and Wedge with a sigh turned around.
"Listen Mynock...I'll let you out when the place is safe. Right now...I don't even think it's safe for us." He then returned his attention to where he presumed the sound of the speeder bikes were coming from.

Luke smirked, thinking of both droids getting into a tizzy on the X-wings. He croutched low through the vegetation, until he could see the speeders better.
"If we capture them, we can get some information about the Empire here," Luke said in a low voice, not wanting to draw attention to their little hiding spot. He didn't want to ignite his lightsaber yet, it would again be too distinct of a weapon and be like a beacon to where they were.
"Hmm, Wedge, I've got an idea. What if we strung a cable through these two big trees over there, so when they come back around..." It would clothesline them. A grin on Luke's part, like they were two kids playing a prank.

"Capturing is better then trying to dispose of the bodies," he said in agreement. He looked back at Mynock and found the droid had gone quiet. Apparently it was scanning the area, Mynock tended to do that when he was bored. As for Luke's idea, "alright Luke...let's knock the lights off those Imperials and teach them who their dealing with."
Wedge ran back to his X-Wing and pulled out some cable chord. He then handed Luke one end, then ran and tied it to the far end of the tree across. He then kneeled down so he wasn't seen.

"Keep your formation!" the lead trooper shouted.
"I know, I know," the lazy trooper responded, not really caring about his stupid formation. Naboo and Theed had fallen a long time ago, the puppet government stable and supportive of the Empire since 19 BBY. He wasn't worried about it. "Hey," he said, suddenly getting an idea, "Let's make a run out by the river!" He was really just excited about going there; the terrain there was a lot of fun to run over, as relatively rough and hilly as it was.
"Hey, what's that!?" a third trooper called out.
Too late.
The five of them ran dead into the extended line of cable at top speed, knocking them off of their speeders and causing the machines to fly out from under them, crashing into various objects as the sped along, which rendered them completely useless. Not one of the five maintained consciousness after that.

Luke grinned and tied his end of the cable around the tree he was by, kneeling down too so they wouldn't be noticed. It wasn't too long before the speeders came by.
WHAM! All five were down and out. The wrecked speeders flew everywhere.
"Wow." Luke blinked, getting up from his post. "That was really effective."
He unhooked the cable from the tree, and going towards the accident site where wreckage was everywhere, and used the cable to tie the five together in one big pile.
"I think we might need to call in some help on this one, this is a lot to take care of if they decide to get ornery." A wry smile in the direction of the unconcious scouts. He wasn't sure if they should call in for a large number of reinforcements, it might alert more Imps to their presence.
He knocked on one of the scout's helmet. "Hello, anybody home?"

Wedge watched from his hidden position as the Scout vehicles came tearing down the dirt road. Immediately the cable cut into them sending the speeder bikes flying out from under them and crashing into one another. He allowed Luke to tie them up while he went to go check on the wreakage. Surprisingly there wasn't much damage, two seemed to be in working order...which made him snap his fingers with an idea. "Hey Luke...I think I can fix two of these speeders. If you get where I'm going at."
Wedge ran back to the X-Wing and opened the compartment, there was a welder and some tools in there. He then ran back to the bikes and began fixing them up. Being in Rogue Squadron had given him the heads up on certain mechanics of vehicles. One of them were on light weight vehicles like this.
"Let's see...the repulsorlift engine needs some fixing. Manuevering control unit could use some adjustment..." Wedge seated himself on the ground and began fixing the bikes. Nothing was completely gone...unless given up on.

"Hey Luke...I think I can fix two of these speeders. If you get where I'm going at."
He brightened. "That's great, I'll help you in a sec." He was still mulling over the unconcious troopers but they didn't seem to be waking up yet. He pulled out his com and radioed in for a stealthy prisoner pickup. Maybe they could get a few questions answered.
He heard more squeeling and he realized Artoo would have a nervous breakdown if he didn't let him out.
"I'm gonna havfta let Artoo go before he explodes. Want me to get your droid too?"

Wedge placed another part on the broken Speeder bike then heard Luke's question. He nodded his head. "Sure, Mynock can act like such a little baby sometimes," he heard Mynock squeal in protest and Wedge laughed. He had the mauevering control unit back in its original mold, the engine took some time, as it seemed to keep sparking causing him to remove his hand.
One of the next things that needed work was the power cell...it needed some form of energy, perhaps Luke could be use there. He then got on his back and looked at the blaster canon, it was burnt, but replaceable. He got up and examined the other wrecked speeders. One had a working blaster canon, so he loosened it, then carried it over to the speeder. Sighing he set to work again.

Luke laughed and went to released the droids from their captivity. Soon both units were on the ground and wheeling in the direction of Wedge's construction.
"Don't wander too far off, now," he warned them both, doubting they would listen anyway. Especially Artoo, that one had a stubborn streak a mile long.
He went over to where Wedge was working.
"Need any help there?"

Wedge smiled as the two droids began to wonder about, they would've really got ticked off at them if they were cramped in the X-Wings. He saw Luke and nodded his head. "Yeah...the sensor comlink needs some work...and the power cell is out, I'll do the rest...hopefully."
He then began working on the altitude controls.
